“Organized by the Art Gallery of Ontario, I Am Here: Home Movies and Everyday Masterpieces will open November 7, 2020 and run until January 31, 2021. The exhibition brings together myriad expressions of a universal human impulse: the desire to record our daily lives.
This impulse dates back at least 40,000 years, to the era of cave paintings, and has been a persistent feature of our civilization ever since, appearing in hundreds of different forms. Paintings, prints, drawings and photographs appear in this ambitious exhibition alongside personal photo albums, Polaroids, diaries, time capsules and, notably, home movies.”
